Thursday's run was a little different than my normal 4 - 5 mile easy jog. Thursday's are my day to work on speed. My program calls for a warm up 1 mile run and then a fast as you can go sprint for 1600 meters. I think that is about a 1/2 mile. Then an 800 meter walk and then another 1600 meter sprint followed by another 800 meter walk. Then a cool down 1 mile jog. It has been about 30 years since I ran as fast as I can go. I can tell I really worked some leg muscles I haven't used in a long time. Pretty sore legs today. Running fast really feels different than just jogging around. I guess this is supposed to help me increase my MPM times. Next run will be another 8 miler on Sunday.
